Key Highlights

This virtual series will consist of talks, panel discussions and virtual student poster presentations showcasing emerging research on wearable materials and applications. The Materials and Technologies for Wearable Sensors Webinar Series aims to bring together academic researchers, industrial researchers, and university students to explore advancements in wearable sensor materials, fabrication techniques, and their applications in health monitoring. The event will focus on key advances in the development of wearable sensor technologies. Topics covered during the presentations will include:

  • Emerging materials such as graphene-based electronic tattoos, flexible biomedical devices, and artificial electronic skin

  • Innovative fabrication methods

  • Scalable manufacturing techniques for producing stretchable electronics, sweat-based biosensors, and electronic textiles for health monitoring applications

  • Data integration and cybersecurity

  • Addressing challenges related to data safety in wearable technologies

  • Innovations in biodegradable sensors and energy-harvesting technologies for wearable devices
